Townhouses on Richmond Road

On the centrally-located corner of Richmond Road and Allenby, we've partnered with small developer Urban Thrive to propose what we think will be the first car-free, family-oriented townhouse to be built in Canada (well... at least in the last 80ish years).

This is a bold concept. It's a new (old) concept. And we believe it will be a concept that will inspire Victorians to rethink how we want our streets and cities to be: Walkable, green, environmentally sustainable, tree-lined, amenity-rich and, most importantly, family filled.

We're rolling out a full range of amenities to support our buyers who chose to live a more sustainable, healthier (and happier) car-free lifestyle, with car-share, easy-access to transit and one of the largest secure, bike storage spaces (per home) in the city's multi-family market. Have a cargo bike? We'll have space for that. Have a couple of high-end bikes, as well? There will be space for those. Kids have bikes? Of course they do...! and we'll have space for those too.

The best part about this (besides the lower cost per home) is that we're going to replace the significant portion of space -- that is normally home for cars -- with greenery, trees and for people living here.

We'll be gathering feedback, building a mailing list and generally keeping things updated on Urban Thrive's website. So if you're looking for more info, you'll find it here:

2859 Richmond Rd.
